The absolute protagonist of this fragrance is the Jasmine “Granduca di Toscana”. This extremely rare flower, originating from the coast of Goa, arrived in Florence in 1688 as a gift from King Peter II of Portugal to Cosimo III, Grand Duke of Tuscany, a great lover of rare and exotic plants. Its scent is delicate and sensual, yet elusive and intangible, to the point that no extraction method exists to capture its unique fragrance.
Our perfumers’ dream was to encapsulate this scent in a perfume bottle. After extensive research and numerous attempts, they finally succeeded in recreating it through a blend of two jasmine absolutes: Egyptian Grandiflorum and Indian Sambac. Its soft, milky notes are interpreted using gardenia and Indian tuberose absolute. A final touch of smooth sandalwood and musk completes the composition of this fragrance, which is a triumph of white flowers.
